幸福最晴天 Sunny Happiness

I just finished 幸福最晴天 Sunny Happiness, a Taiwanese drama featuring Mike He and Janine Chang. It's the story of a rich executive divorcee (Mike He), discovering 8 years later that he has a son with his ex-wife. To achieve his dream of a complete family life and raising a child, he will do anything, even at the cost of marrying his personal janitor (Janine Chang). As their families become more involved in the story they weave, the two must confront both outside pressures and their growing feelings for each other.

I loved it! Watched a few of Mike's old dramas and it's pretty clear that he's gotten better. Same thing with Janine. I've only seen her in Black & White, but her reduced role limited our perception of her acting. She was surprisingly good in Sunny Happiness. Of course she's super cute which helps a ton. But most of the characters weren't too bad for a Taiwanese drama. Music set the tones pretty well, but their super dramatic go to song was about birthdays... that threw me off and annoyed me to pieces.

You can watch it online with English subtitles Here at Sugoideas. It also has annoying comments at the top from other viewers. A ton of them are about how ugly the ex-wife is and how good looking everyone else is. It's pretty sad, but I not so secretly agree with a lot of them.
