Sodagreen 蘇打綠

Sodagreen 蘇打綠 is a Taiwanese Indie band. The main singer is called Greeny and really characterizes the band as unusual. His voice has a traditional tint and he displays a variety of singing styles, sometimes a little raspy sometimes nasally. He's got a really high range. The bands music is folksy mixed with rock in a mellow feel. They made use of interesting syncopation that impresses me and shows a solid music sense. They've got a girl bassist, not to be sexist, which is pretty cool. Not quite a favorite of mine, but they've apparently been really popular since starting in 2004.
